Abstract

In this paper, we examine the Axiom of Choice. We go over equivalent axioms like the Well-ordering theorem and Zorn’s Lemma. Moreover, we discuss why the axiom of choice is not a theorem but rather an axiom. Subsequently, we discuss other equivalent theorems and some applications of the axiom of choice.
